The other room moms for my son’s class and I were trying to figure out what to give the teacher this past holiday season.  She insisted that she didn’t want anything and preferred that we give something for the classroom instead.  We asked for ideas, but she couldn’t think of anything off the top of her head.

Then I thought, wouldn’t it be great for teachers to be able to make wish lists for their classroom?  And that’s when I suggested that the teacher make a Giftster wish list so the room moms and other parents would know what to get for the classroom.

Many teachers spend their own money on their classrooms many times.  The school’s budget will only go so far these days, and many teachers aren’t necessarily in the field for the money.  If you’re looking to help aleviate some of what the teachers are spending of their own money on their room, ask them to create a Giftster list of things they would like to have for their classroom.

And teachers – you can create a list and ask parents to join the group to see what you need most for the classroom.
