It’s go time, people!  We need to get the holidays under control STAT!

I know what you’re thinking.  “Is she serious?  Why oh why are we counting down to Christmas already?”

GOTCHA!

No, I’m not serious about planning that far ahead with your gift giving but I hope I caught your attention enough to remind you that now is as good of a time as any to get yourself into the habit of updating your own wish list for gift giving throughout the year.

The holidays aren’t the only time someone may give you a gift.  There are birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Sweetest Day and just because days as well as life events like weddings, baby showers, graduations and so many others.  Or what about those times when you find yourself with a little extra cash and you want to treat yourself?

Bottom line, it’s a great idea to keep your wish list updated for any and all of these events.  At a minimum, it couldn’t hurt, right?

My best advice for keeping your gift wish list updated all year is super simple:

1)  Log on to your Giftster account to see what items are still listed that you just received.  I’ll have more advice soon about how to reconcile these items off your list.

2)  I created myself a list for this new year that I call “Things I think are awesome 2014.”  This is mostly just a reference list for myself to begin with but it also gives people great suggestions should they find the need to give me a gift.

3)  Make sure you have your Giftster app loaded on your iPhone or Android device.  That way, if you’re out and about and see an item that would be great for your wish list, you can add it right away.

See?  It’s that easy.  And when the time comes around and someone wants to know what things you’d like or what items would make your life a little easier, you’ll have a pre-made list ready and waiting.
