The Giftster wish list feature that I forgot I loved
Giftster is my right hand gift giving app for birthdays and holidays and, really, everything. Just last week when I was updating my wish list for the holidays, I remembered a newer function that I had totally forgotten to tell you about: copying items from one list to another.
I have many private lists on Giftster that I use throughout the year to organize gift ideas for myself. I’m the type of person that, if I don’t write it down right away, I will forget it. And it’s not just gifts, it’s everything in life. I have a list on Giftster for the random things around our house that we use (those things like light bulbs, air and water filters, and the battery sizes of different things). I have other lists that focus on books I’d like to get and crocheting and knitting tools. My entire family doesn’t need to see these entire lists, but they are a great reference for me to use when updating my own holiday and birthday wish lists.
And that’s where this feature is so handy dandy.
Any item that you have on an existing list can be copied to any other list you have on Giftster. Or, if you have a favorite item that you can never have enough of and you know your family got it for you last year, you can copy it back on to this same list so you can receive it again.
Pretty nifty, right?!
I decided to create myself a brand new list for Christmas 2016 and copied over some items from my last holiday wish list. Here are the steps I followed:
- Create your new wish list.
- Click on the item you’d like to copy to open up the details.
- Press copy item.
- From the drop down box, choose the list you’d like the item copied to.
- Press copy.
Then presto changeo…the item is instantly added to the new list!
And don’t forget…
When you’re perusing your family lists and you see an item you’d like on your list, too, click on I want this item too to add it to your list.
