Household Reference Lists

We often talk about personal wish lists for gifts as well as for special events like weddings and baby showers, but what about the items you need for your home or yourself that you don’t need to buy often?

The details of those little items that we buy maybe every couple of months to a year are easy to forget when you don’t have to put them on your shopping list on a regular basis. Creating a reference list for these items not only helps you remember the details for the item but also where you purchase it so you’ll spend less time scrambling to find them in the future.

When deciding what items should be on this list, ask yourself this question:

I can never remember what size/color/brand/style of _____________ to buy when I need it.

If there are items in your life that fit this sentence, then a reference list is a great tool for you!

Online Reference Lists Privacy Settings

Now, unlike your holiday wish lists, these reference lists don’t need to be shared with a group. Set your sharing settings to private so the list will be for your eyes only.

Or, if you have a spouse or other family members that need to utilize these lists, create a smaller group that has just those few people in it. I have a group set up that’s just for my husband and me so he and I can share these types of lists.

Not everyone in the family needs to know what printer ink we need, but my husband and I sure do!
